Hi, I’m Sarah.

A writer and lyricist prioritizing storytelling through language. My work spans poetry, children's stories, novels, and lyrical songwriting, all grounded in a love of emotional narrative and literary craft.

In the creative atelier of my daily life, I explore the little intersections of words, beauty, and culture — drawing influence from literature, art, film, fashion, design, and the greatest creative work of all: nature. I hope my pen reflects a modern romantic and spirit driven approach to existing, where language becomes both expression and atmosphere.

How did I get here?

I suppose it all began in early elementary school, when I learned from a cousin that a teacher was using my poetry assignment as an example for the class (we’d been tasked with describing a tomato). This was the first time I’d heard of my work standing out, and I still remember feeling so pleasantly, proudly surprised.

Then in the fifth grade, I had a once-in-a-lifetime teacher who trained us in Shakespeare, Frost, Lewis Carroll, and Poe; I memorized “The Raven” and “The Jabberwocky” and portrayed Shylock in a “Merchant of Venice” reenactment. My passion and intrigue ate ravenously at a very young age under her tutelage.

All the while, my older sisters were adding the Spanish language to their repertoire. I would not be left out, and became fluent after spending a summer in Madrid at fifteen years old.

In high school I was challenged extensively academically in both English and Spanish, and I rose to the occasion, at the time without understanding the thrill I experienced in doing so. In my spare moments, I discovered music as a medium for creative writing. I attended college for songwriting and have spent the past ten years crafting lyrics professionally.
